Derivative Trading System API developer needed to work with the technology team responsible
for developing trade related applications for the Treasury and Banking businesses.
Responsibilities:
Development and delivery of all financial applications. These applications
cover stand-alone software and/or extensions to the core trading application (Trading and risk management software).
Ensure that all new code meets functional and technical specifications, is re-usable where possible and runs according to performance
requirements.
Work with business analysts to understand business functionality in order to formalize technical requirements.
Work with QA team to ensure proper testing and delivery of applications.
Provide documentation where required during the development life cycle.
Assist in maintenance and upgrade of existing applications.
Assist in all scripting and job scheduling.
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years working experience.
Strong skills in application design and development required.
Experience and familiarity with Trading and Risk Management software and the core API required (Misys Summit / Calypso / Murex / Sungard / Principia).
Experience with the Windows NT operating systems (Unix a plus), and the C/C++
programming languages. Knowledge
of common scripting languages a plus.
Knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
Familiarity with relational database systems. Sybase required. Oracle
and/or SQL Server a plus.
Background in capital markets, particularly with fixed income and derivatives instruments required.
Strong interpersonal skills. Must be willing and able to work closely with
others in a fast-paced, complex development environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
